FIGHT FOR JUSTICE

OUR MISSION

We are dedicated to ensuring justice for indigent persons accused of crimes in Contra Costa County.  Our overriding goal is to serve the best interests of our clients in everything that we do. We tirelessly fight for all our clients and ensure that each individual receives excellent representation.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE

Our attorneys are recognized throughout the state for providing vigorous, client-centered advocacy. We vertically represent clients in all phases of their criminal cases, which means that each client is assigned an attorney who defends that client from start to finish.

HOLISTIC DEFENSE

At CCPD, we take a holistic approach in representing our clients. The criminal justice system can impact individuals' lives in ways that go far beyond their criminal convictions. Because of this, we have developed specialty areas to help mitigate collateral consequences and ensure future success.

ABOUT US

"Justice can only be served when the most vulnerable among us are treated with the same attention, dignity, and respect as the most powerful."

Robin Lipetzky, Public Defender

Contra Costa County is located in the Bay Area, extending from the San Francisco Bay to the western edge of California’s Central Valley. One of the most populous counties in California, Contra Costa encompasses a range of urban, suburban and rural communities. CCPD attorneys and investigators work tirelessly to mount the best defense for their clients.
